Exercise and the Brain

Many people hit the gym or pound the pavement to improve cardiovascular health, build muscle, and of course, stay fit. But, working out has above-the-neck benefits too.

Aerobic Exercise (cardio) not only builds strong muscles and bones, it can also boost cognitive functions. In simple terms, your ability to process thoughts.

How in the world does exercise help your brain?
Aerobic exercise, through many years of experience and research, is not just for weight loss; the benefits are far more than that.
Aerobics involve mental challenges, like coordination and planning, which help to protect against cognitive decline.
It has also been shown that aerobic exercise may increase levels of Brain-derived neurotrophic factor (BDNF) in the human brain, which controls the growth of nerve cells and improves cognitive functions.

There are much more benefits from regular exercise and physical activity than the usual ones we know; so let's make Physical Activity/Exercise an important part of our day to day routine, keeping us fit, keeping our brains sharp and giving us that ageless feeling.

Remain fit and sexy ;)
